First Night ® Harrisonburg 2010
First Night® Harrisonburg is the Valley’s most celebrated party! Join our community for an evening of artistic performances, food, and fireworks, and celebrate the hope of a new year with your friends and neighbors.
First Night® begins on December 31 at 6:00 p.m. on historic Court Square, downtown and ends at midnight.
Buttons, which serve as tickets, cost $7 until 5:00 p.m. on December 31 and may be purchased at button venues. After 5:00 p.m., buttons cost $7 and may be purchased at the Bank of America on Court Square. First Night® Harrisonburg accepts cash and checks at the door. Children five and younger are admitted free.
Your button gains you admission to all of the evening’s performances.
Performer Check-In
On December 31, performers should check in at First Night® headquarters located at the Bank of America on Court Square. You will receive a bag of snacks, buttons for you, and complimentary buttons for your family. The number of complimentary buttons is determined by the number of performers in a group. No additional complimentary buttons will be given. Streets leading up to Court Square will be closed due to the Generations Crossing 5K Run. However, if you tell the crossing guard volunteer that you are a First Night® performer, you will be allowed access to Court Square for unloading equipment. Please refer to Parking for parking locations. If you need assistance or encounter difficulty getting to Court Square, please call Jennifer Chapman at 540-746-4774. The Performance Coordinator will deliver honoraria checks after your last performance.
